Former Chelsea striker Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink believes one of the clubs transfer targets could turn out to be the 'new Chicharito'.
Following the signing of Andre Villas-Boas as new manager, the Blues have immediately been linked with a couple of his FC Porto players including striker Radamel Falcao.
It is believed that Villas-Boas wants to bring the £26.5million-rated striker to Stamford Bridge and Hasselbaink feels it would be a great choice to do so as he has similar attributes to Manchester United success story Javier Hernandez.
"The manager would like to play a 4-3-3 with Falcao in the middle, he is a player and a goal scorer," Hasselbaink told the Daily Mail.
"He's a little bit like Chicharito and if he can be as successful as Chicharito, he will be a great, great signing.
"I would like to see players who can beat other players and can create chances for other players. A Modric, a Sneijder or a Neymar. Those are the players that Chelsea need."
And Hasselbaink said that strike veterans Nicolas Anelka and Didier Drogba could be on their way out if the 25-year old Colombian comes to Southwest London.
"They are definitely under threat, of course. When you have Torres you saw Drogba on the bench quite a bit and Anelka as well," he added.
"If Falcao comes I definitely see one of Drogba and Anelka going - if not both."
