Former Chelsea striker Tony Cascarino expects Roman Abramovich to spend big in January.
Cascarino can't see Chelsea going through the winter market without spending.
"Last summer they spent big and the January transfer window last year they spent a lot of money," he told talkSPORT.
"The window before that they bought Fernando Torres, so they've spent big in every window, why would it be any different [this time around]?
"The year that Torres came they spent £70million, so don't be surprised if they spend £50million again because they've done it every time.
"They've jumped at the opportunity to bring in big named players and I don't see it being any different. Now Sturridge has gone, it typifies what they've done in the past and that's spend big."
