Chelsea striker Michy Batshuayi owes his move from Marseille to Lassana Diarra.

That's according to former OM midfielder Alaixys Romao, now of Olympiacos.

Romao says former Chelsea ace Diarra acted as a mentor to Batshuayi while they were together at OM.

"Lass, he's a simple guy. He had his ideas but he never posed a problem in the life of the squad.

"On the contrary, he was good, especially with the younger ones. He tended to talk to others. For example, he took time for Michy, whom he advised a lot," said Romao.
