Ex-Chelsea, Sheffield Wed and Oldham midfielder Rocastle joins Missouri Comets

Major Indoor Soccer League (MISL) outfit Missouri Comets have announced the signing of Craig Rocastle for the remainder of the 2011/12 season, pending league approval.

The England-born Grenada international joins the Comets after departing MLS club Sporting Kansas City at the end of the 2011 season and the Missouri club was delighted to have secured his services.

"Craig is somebody we have kept an eye on since he was released in late November by Sporting.when a player of his caliber is available, you go out and sign him," said coach Kim Rontved.

Aside from Sporting Kansas City, Rocastle counts English clubs Chelsea, Sheffield Wednesday, Oldham Athletic and Port Vale as some of his former clubs and is a cousin of former Arsenal and England star, the late David Rocastle.
