Former Chelsea midfielder Fabio Ferreira featured on trial for Swindon in Tuesday's friendly against Cirencester. The 21-year-old is expected to get a second opportunity to prove his worth at the County Ground against Nottingham Forest this weekend.
Robins boss Danny Wilson told STFC Player: "It's difficult to see on nights like that as wingers need to run the ball and everytime he ran it he just came to a standstill due to the grass.
"So he was difficult to judge. But he worked very hard and he's got a trick up his sleeve, that's for sure.
"Whether or not he's what we're looking for we'll wait and see but we may just keep him for Saturday and have another look at him when he'll be on a completely different stage against a different animal we're playing against, and certainly on a great pitch."
Ferreira started his career with Sporting Lisbon before signing for Chelsea in 2005. He was released in 2009 having failed to make a first-team appearance.
