Ex-Chelsea No2 Rix sees Terry, Lampard with management future

Former Chelsea assistant coach Graham Rix believes Frank Lampard and John Terry are destined for management.

But he doubts they'd be able to cope with the demands of playing and managing simultaneously.

He told talkSPORT: "When I look at the characters that are at Chelsea I'm absolutely certain that, if he stays in the game, Frank Lampard will be a super manager. He would be a fantastic manager.

"John Terry, who is at the club at the moment, his stature within that club is of an absolute living legend there and he would have the mentality and the toughness to do it.

"Whether they want to accept that situation is another matter.

"To have [the pressure of being a manager] throughout the week and then go out and perform in front of 60,000 people and do your job properly is a big ask."
