Former Chelsea and Liverpool midfielder Yossi Benayoun is impressing in QPR trials.
The Israel international has been training with Hoops for the last week although a final contract has yet to be agreed over pay and length.
Rs boss Harry Redknapp told the Fulham Chronicle: "Yossi's a smashing footballer and I tried to sign him when I was at Tottenham, so I've always enjoyed watching him.
"I don't need to see him in a reserve game or whatever. He's not on trial, and I've seen a lot of him through his career.
"He's never going to be unfit. He's only a slim, slight player and he hasn't got to lose any weight. In fact, if anything, he's got to put some on."
