Yossi Benayoun says he is on the verge of signing a contract with QPR.
The former West Ham United, Liverpool, Chelsea and Arsenal midfielder is training with the R's and could soon pen an 18-month deal if he can prove his fitness to manager Harry Redknapp.
Benayoun, who has also been linked with Malaga, suggests he is keen to remain in London by signing a deal with the Loftus Road club.
"QPR asked me to come. They wanted me to begin training with them today and then undergo a medical. I've reached the conclusion that this is what's right for me and we'll see what happens," he said.
"The Malaga option is still on the agenda but for the moment this is what I'm doing."
