Ex-Chelsea keeper Bosnich: Lack of Premier League experience could hinder Morata

Former Chelsea goalkeeper Mark Bosnich says the intensity and pace of the Premier League will make it hard for Alvaro Morata.

The Spaniard is close to finalising a move to Chelsea from Real Madrid after the clubs agreed upon an initial fee of £58m, which could rise to £70m if all clauses are met.

Speaking to talkSPORT: "He's got big shoes to fill at Chelsea.

"Diego Costa, for whatever his right or wrongs, he's done the business at Chelsea. He's had great success there.

"Morata is obviously a quality player – you don't go to Real Madrid and Juventus unless you have quality.

"But it's always a worry when you sign a player who hasn't played in the Premier League.

"The Premier League is played at an intensity and a pace that you don't get anywhere else in the world, so you've always got that concern."
