Ex-Chelsea coach Wilkins: There was no Diego Costa bust-up!

Former Chelsea coach Ray Wilkins doesn't believe Diego Costa had a bust-up with Antonio Conte.

Costa was left out of the Chelsea squad for the 3-0 win at Leicester on Saturday after a row with boss Antonio Conte over his fitness.

“He did have a slight aggravation in his back," Wilkins told Sky Sports.

“I worked with a number of Italian coaches and if you're not back in training by Thursday, you're not considered.

“I haven't heard a thing, and normally if there's something coming out of Chelsea I hear about it.

“If it's financial and he wants to move to China, I don't understand it. As a footballer, if you're going to go to China now at 28, you're saying like Oscar, your career is finished.

“Aren't these young men earning enough in this country to enjoy their football?

“I believe there's also another deal there for him at Chelsea should he choose to take it."
