Chelsea legend Ray Wilkins says England coach Roy Hodgson is right to back his veterans.

Hodgson has kept faith with the likes of John Terry, Ashley Cole, Michael Carrick, Frank Lampard and captain Steven Gerrard.

Wilkins said: "I'm pleased that Roy has stuck by them because the young men can't do it without them."
