Bayern Munich coach Carlo Ancelotti admits Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich was very hands on when thing weren't going well.
Ancelotti led Chelsea to the Premier League title before being sacked by the Russian.
He told Fox Sports: "At the beginning of the experience in England there was concern because it was my first time abroad.
'It was complicated by the difficulty of the language, which does not condition you so much at a technical level, but emotionally: you can not convey what you feel. And I want the players to feel.
"I arrived at a time when Chelsea were not doing well, but still had the desire to win, the players were not so young, but strong and with great personality: Terry, Lampard, Ballack , Drogba ... They still had great motivation.",
He added: "With Abramovich I had no direct contact, he was not much interested in what happened in the day to day, but he was present: when things were not going well, he asked for explanations.
"Every president has his character."
