Former Chelsea attacker Salomon Kalou has backed Wilfried Bony's move to Manchester City. Bony is poised to complete his £28m from Swansea to Manchester City after undergoing a medical in Abu Dhabi.

Ivory Coast teammate Kalou said: "He will bring strength.

"I think he's a very powerful striker and he knows how to score goals. I think he's going to add a lot of power for the team and a lot of goals.

"Just now he is focused on the African Cup of Nations, but we are all happy for him and hopefully he will have a good run there and win the league with City."
