MLS club Portland Timbers have extended the trial of Irish striker Cillian Sheridan.
The 22-year old former Celtic man, currently of Bulgarian club CSKA Sofia, has already trialed with Seattle Sounders and will now remain at Portland until the weekend.
Early next week a decision will be made on Sheridan's future which is likely to be a loan deal at the Timbers according to CSKA sporting director Emi Antonova.
"Sheridan will remain on the trial to June 26, Sunday. The next day, the leadership of Portland will notify us if it comes to buying, loaning, or leaving the country," he told SSFC-Rumors.com.
