Derek Riordan may have to lower his asking price if he wants to complete a potential transfer to MLS club Houston Dynamo.
The 28-year old Hibernian striker has been linked with the Dynamo for a while now but it seems as though player and club have been unable to agree a deal.
But a source told the Scotsman that the former Celtic man may have to 'bridge' the difference in his demands if he wants to finalise a shift from Edinburgh to Texas.
"It's a good offer and a good opportunity. There's a gap between what Derek wants and what Houston have offered, but it's bridgeable and the money is decent anyway," the source said.
