Former Celtic midfielder Marc Anthony knows it's make or break time at Perth Glory. "I'm 30 now and I think over here I could play until I'm 34 or 35, but this is a last chance for me," he said. "Mitch hasn't said that to me but I know myself if I don't get a contract for next year then it will be back to the State League and I don't think I'd get another chance in the A-League."
Dave Mitchell as no doubt Anthony is good enough to play in the A-League but said he still had to prove he could commitment to the rigours of a full-time environment.
"Technically, he's a very good player and you can see he's played at a very high level in his younger days," said the Glory boss. "He's got until the end of the season to prove to me that he can lose a bit of weight, maintain his fitness and look after himself. If he can do that, he'll be with us next season."
