Darren O'Dea has adapted quickly to his new surroundings after joining Toronto FC in August.
The Republic of Ireland defender has made eight MLS appearances since arriving from Celtic and even though the Reds are struggling at the foot of the table, he feels right at home in Ontario.
"We were away for six days there, coming back into the city it feels like home already. It's been an easy adjustment," he said.
"It's a fantastic city with lovely people so it's easy."
Toronto have won just five of 31 league matches this season but O'Dea feels there is enough talent within the squad to regroup and come back a much-improved team in 2013.
"Obviously, I'm desperate to win, I'm sure it will come," he added. "Certainly there's not a lot more to play for within the league this year except for pride.
"I'm sure the offseason will be a busy offseason for the staff and next year we'll be a lot stronger."
