Freddie Ljungberg is not about to retire from the game even though his contract with Celtic is set to expire.
The former Arsenal star had a very limited impact at Celtic Park after joining from MLS outfit Chicago Fire in January but that has not deterred him says his representative Phil Smith who has made it clear his client is keen to continue playing at the top level.
"That is a ridiculous question. One of the most stupid I've heard. Why would he give up football?" Smith told Fotbollskanalen.
"That proves Sweden is behind the rest of the world. There aren't any thoughts like that at all.
"The season is just over and there are a lot of things going on at the moment."
