Former Celtic striker Paulo Di Canio is unsure why Italian club Fiorentina are pursuing Rangers striker Kenny Miller.
Recent reports suggest that the Florence club are on the verge of securing the services of the Scottish goalscorer but Di Canio, who played with the Hoops in the 1996/97 season, cannot see why they are so keen to have him at the Stadio Artemio Franchi.
"Saying Fiorentina are trying to solve their attacking problems with Kenny Miller is an exaggeration," he said about the 12th placed Viola.
"If the plan is to play 4-3-3, I don't know why they are going for him.
"He lacks the tactical discipline needed to survive in the Italian game. People are puzzled. Miller is expected to settle straight into our league which is a competition far removed from where he plays now."
