Ex-Burnley striker Paterson joins Orlando City from Huddersfield

Orlando City SC has confirmed the loan signing of Northern Ireland international Martin Paterson.

The 27-year old English-born striker has joined the MLS expansion franchise on loan from Huddersfield Town for the 2015 MLS season.

Former Stoke City and Burnley forward Paterson arrived at Huddersfield in 2013 but has failed to make an impact for the Terriers which led ton subsequent loans to Bristol City and Fleetwood Town last year.

Of the signing, Lions head coach Adrian Heath told the club's official website: "Martin is an experienced striker who will be a valuable asset for the team and our younger players in particular.

"We're very pleased to have him with the Club for our first season in MLS."
