Ex-Burnley and Bolton winger pitches up at Charlton

Championship Charlton have signed former Burnley and Bolton winger Chris Eagles on a deal until the end of the season. The 29-year-old former Manchester United trainee was a free agent after his short-term deal with Blackpool expired last month.

"I've had a great feeling about being here, it's a massive club," he said.

"I'm over the moon to be here and as soon as I knew Charlton wanted to sign me it didn't matter what they offered me. I just wanted to be here."

"I am sure he will help us," Addicks head coach Guy Luzon said. "He is a player with quality and a good character."
