Ex-Brisbane Roar mid Paartalu thrilled to join burgeoning Thai League

Erik Paartalu has completed his transfer to Thai outfit Muangthong United after recently leaving Chinese club Tianjin Teda.

The 27-year old Australian midfielder has signed a one-year deal with Muangthong after the two-year contract he signed with Chinese Super League side Tianjin in January 2013 was cut short late last year.

The former Greenock Morton and Brisbane Roar man admitted he was looking forward to competing in the improving Thai Premier League with the Scott Cooper-managed Twin Qilin who finished second in 2013.

"I'm thrilled to be joining the Thai league because Thailand is the most attractive league in Asia," Paartalu told the club's official website.

"And with my practical experience of league football in Australia and China already, it will help ensure the team is definitely stronger."
