Ex-Bremen, Schalke, Hamburg keeper Rost linked with NYRB

Veteran German goalkeeper Frank Rost is being linked with a move to MLS giants New York Red Bulls.

A report on bild.de suggests that the Red Bulls are interested in the 38-year old glvoeman who is out of contract after his deal with Hamburg SV expired at the end of last season.

It is believed that New York's general manager Erik Soler has spoken to Hamburg, one of his former clubs, about whether or not they should pursue Rost who counts Werder Bremen and FC Schalke as two of his old clubs.

Soler has made no secret that he wants another goalkeeper following fundamental errors made recently by both Greg Sutton and Bouna Coundoul and Rost's is the most recent name to be linked with a summer shift to Red Bull Arena.
