Former Blackburn Rovers striker Maceo Rigters is set to trial with A-League club Wellington Phoenix.
The 27-year old Dutchman is a free agent after his deal at Ewood Park expired at the end of last term and will train with the Phoenix for 10 days in a bid to win a contract and reignite his career.
Rigters, who has played with the likes of Heerenveen, NAC Breda and Norwich City, has recently been trialing with Scottish club Aberdeen but his representative, James Hardy, has confirmed the Phoenix trial.
"Maceo has been with Aberdeen for the last week. He will now spend 10 days at Phoenix," Hardy said.
