Shabani Nonda is chasing a Premiership contract.

The Mirror says Nonda has come back to England - in the hope of winning a deal with a Premier League club.

The former Blackburn Rovers striker is staying in his north-west base after tearing up his contract with Turkish giants Galatasaray.

Nonda has turned down a move to Spanish side Real Betis because he is hoping for a call from an English club in crisis - and can sign immediately as a free agent.
