Sydney FC's Brett Emerton suggests Jason Culina would be a great inclusion for the A-League club.
Former PSV Eindhoven, Ajax and FC Twente midfielder has been training with the Sky Blues and is on the verge of signing after two years of knee injury hell which tarnished his time at both Gold Coast United and Newcastle Jets.
With talks regarding a deal ongoing, Emerton believes his former Socceroos teammate would be a brilliant addition to Terry Crook's squad.
"Jason has made tremendous progress over the last couple of months and he's starting to join in our training sessions," Emerton said.
"He's looking good and we're all hopeful that he gets back fit and can join us at some stage because when he is fully fit he's obviously a fantastic player and will be a great addition to our squad."
