Former Blackburn Rovers boss Steve Kean is eyeing the Bolton Wanderers job.
The Mirror says Kean has put his name in for the Bolton job - just over a week since he quit at local rivals Blackburn.
Kean wants to get back into the game quickly and has contacted Trotters supremo Phil Gartside to ask to be put on their short-list of contenders to succeed the sacked Owen Coyle.
Gartside is known to be an admirer of Kean, over the way he handled the stick at Rovers during their failed survival fight last season, but the Scot is unlikely to get the gig.
