Ex-Birmingham striker O'Connor arrested on suspicion of cocaine use

Garry O'Connor has been arrested in his home city of Edinburgh, allegedly in possession of cocaine on Saturday morning.

The29-year old Scotland international, who has played with Birmingham City, Lokomotv Moscow, Hibernian and most recently Barnsley, was detained by police but later released without any charge.

There will be further examination into the incident but it is not a good look for free agent O'Connor if he is looking for a new club.

Also on the weekend, two Heart of Midlothian players, Ian Black and Robert Ogleby, were 'detained on suspicion of possessing a Class A drug and later released'.
