Sone Aluko is close to securing a contract with Rangers after impressing in a trial match yesterday.
The 22-year old winger netted as a 'Gers reserves side defeated St Mirren behind closed doors and the reigning champions are looking to bring him to Ibrox on a two-and-a-half-year deal.
But 'Gers are now locked in talks with Aluko's former club Aberdeen who believe they are owed compensation for the player they signed from Birmingham City on a 'development' contract, however, Rangers are contesting that as he went straight into the Dons first team when he arrived in 2008.
