Controcampo says apart from Juventus, where David Trezeguet has urged the Biaconeri to move for the youngster, there is also AC Milan, Inter and Fiorentina all chasing the forward.

Juve chief Alessio Secco wants to strengthen their defence in January, but will draw up plans after the winter market to bring Benzema to the club at the end of this season.

Along with Trezeguet, two former Juve stars have also urged their old club to sign Benzema.

Barcelona striker Thierry Henry said: "He is extraordinary. I can't believe the goals he scores for one so young."

And Jean-Pierre Papin also remarked: "He has the power of Ronaldo and Ronaldinho's speed of thought. Players like him, are one in 100,000."
