Nemanja Matic was delighted to score a vital goal against an old rival on Tuesday night.
The ex-Benfica midfielder netted the only goal in Chelsea's 1-0 Champions League win over Sporting Lisbon at Estadio Jose Alvalade and admitted that it was a brilliant feeling to do it against a former arch enemy.
Matic said: "I scored against a big rival of Benfica!
"The most important thing is we won, it's not important who scores the goals but I feel good because I scored.
"It's always difficult to play against Sporting in this stadium."
The lone goal of the contest came in the 34th minute when Matic headed home Cesc Fabregas's free-kick which sent the Blues top of the Group G table, condemning Sporting to bottom place.
