Former Belgium international Bart Goor has compared Celtic midfielder Victor Wanyama to Chelsea and AC Milan great Marcel Desailly.
20-year old Kenyan midfielder Wanyama has been going from strength to strength with his recent performance for the Hoops and he has been praised by Goor who played alongside him at Belgian club Germinal Beerschot.
"His brother (McDonald Mariga) has played in Italian (Parma and Inter Milan) and Spanish (Real Sociedad) football so it's in the blood. The big thing is proving it's in the blood.
"His brother got a chance at a young age to move to Italy and now Victor is grasping his chance to play at a big club like Celtic.
"I always compare him with Marcel Desailly. He is also very strong and good under pressure.
"When he's playing you are just aware of him on the pitch. He has a presence.
"I wasn't surprised to see him go to Celtic. He's a player who has the qualities to play at that kind of level and I'm sure he'll be a big success in Scotland.
"He has a good mentality. He trains every day to become a better player. It's the only way to be.""I played with Victor when he was 17 and you could see he had the potential to reach the top," Goor told Record Sport.
