Former AC Milan fullback Massimo Oddo has hailed the quality of Arsenal attacker Lukas Podolski.

The pair played together at Bayern Munich for the 2008/09 season.

Oddo told TMW: "I can assure you that this is a player with immense quality.

"Lukas has everything: great shooting, technique, physical strength and tactical flexibility that allows him to play as a striker as well as a winger.

"Flaw? He's a player who needs a lot of confidence around him, to be pampered. He should feel important. When this does not happen he does not have the mental strength to respond at his best."
