Recent reports have suggested that former Germany international Torsten Frings and current Canada striker Rob Friend could be on their way to Toronto FC.
34-year old Frings is out of contract after his deal with Werder Bremen expired and is believed to have attracted the interest of Jurgen Klinsmann, whose company works closely with Toronto.
Frings is pondering the next move for his playing career and Yahoo News in Germany and Fussballtransfers have both reported that a MLS club in Canada is showing considerable interest.
In Friend's case, the 30-year old Canada national team forward could be sold by Hertha Berlin with BZ Berlin suggesting that Toronto would be the likely destination if he was to leave.
