Ex-Barcelona star Petit: Real Madrid's Ronaldo deserves Ballon d'Or ahead of Messi

Former Barcelona midfielder Emmanuel Petit says Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo deserves the Ballon d'Or over Lionel Messi.

The Arsenal legend says Ronaldo has proved himself in two top competitions.

"After being the King of England, he did not hesitate in taking the chance of a new challenge with Madrid," said Petit of the former Manchester United man.

"He has been able to assume their responsibilities fully, and may have more heading ability than Messi. But I hope that both will reach the very highest level possible with their sides."

I think, that both players are good but Messi continues to have an edge at the moment. Wednesday game was the first time Ronald will shine versus Barcelona and yet his team ended up on the losing side. Messi is in a different class at the moment.

This is the most debased argument I ever heard. Messi has triumphed over the EPL's perceived best, beating Man U twice in the ECL finals, has won la liga, FIFA Ballon d' or thrice and continues to raise the bar every other day. Against Mourinho's thugs yesterday, it was his sublime pass to Abidal that silenced the Bernebue once again. Monseur Petit must have taken an overdose of marijuana.

If Messi can can come to England and WIN the league twise, the CHAMPIONS LEAGUE ONE'S and score the most gaols in EUROPE 42 then go to spain and rape there goals telly not one's but twise then and only THEN I'LL SAY HE'S THE BEST.RIGHT NOW IT'S CR7!!!!!!
