Former Barcelona president Joan Laporta insists their next coach must maintain the club's playing traditions.
Luis Enrique will leave his job at the end of this season.
"It is important that he maintains the style and that he is able to continue the winning cycle," declared Laporta.
"He must be able to put collective interests before his own, he must be generous and have the genuine style that (Johan) Cruyff introduced."
Asked if he could see a current player taking charge, Laporta added: "At the moment I see more presidents (in clear reference to Gerard Piqué) than coaches."
