Boudewijn Zenden's appointment to Rafael Benitez's backroom staff at Chelsea has been officially confirmed.
The 36-year old former Dutch winger arrives in West London along with two of Benitez's former Liverpool staff - fitness coach Paco De Miguel and analyst Xavi Valero.
Zenden returns to Stamford Bridge following his stint as a player between 2001 and 2004 and will be looking to impart his wisdom which comes courtesy of 54 internationals with Holland. Zenden has played for such clubs as PSV Eindhoven, Barcelona, Liverpool and Sunderland during his career.
