Former Athletic Bilbao coach Joaquin Caparros is happy to see Kepa Arrizabalaga sticking with the LaLiga club.

The young Spain goalkeeper turned down a January move to Real Madrid before signing a new contract with Athletic.

Caparros was pleased to se Arrizabalaga's commitment and says it was the right career move.

He told Radio Marca: "Kepa stayed in a very big club, Athletic is very big.

"I do not know if Real's interest was true, but he did well to stay and not to go to Madrid."
