Former Athletic Bilbao coach Marcelo Bielsa is being linked with the Cardiff City job.
The Western Mail says Bielsa has previously coached Gary Medel while in charge of Chile and Craig Bellamy went on record to say he had "huge affection" for the Argentinean during his spell at Spanish club Athletic Bilbao from 2011-13.
It is understood that Bielsa would be interested in taking a job in English football.
