Former Aston Villa star Ray Houghton admits he's unsure about Jack Grealish's potential.

Grealish has committed to England in the past week.

Houghton told bwin.com: "Well I'm not too sure about Jack to be honest. There is no doubt he would've been a good player for Ireland, but for England he is going to compete with similar players in the likes of Adam Lallana and Ross Barkley, who is roughly the same age.

"I don't blame him for making the decision as it's not like a club player where you can move on to the next club. Once you choose your international team, that's it for life, you can't move so I perfectly understand what he's done.

"When I was an 18 year old, Scotland never came calling when Andy Roxburgh was the manager at the time. When Ireland came for me, it was a no-brainer. It's a little different for Jack, there is a lot of pressure to go and play for England and it has its rewards. Hopefully he did it for the right footballing reasons."
