Ambitious Leyton Orient have swooped for Aussie defender Shane Lowry.

The 25-year-old has joined the Sky Bet League One club on a two-year contract after leaving Millwall.

He told Orient's official website: "I'm really excited to be here.

"There's a buzz about the place. You can tell straightaway that everyone here is really ambitious and I want to be a part of it and help the club push to go up this year."

The Australian made 23 appearances with Millwall last season and was a regular in 2012/13. He came through the youth system at Aston Villa.
