Former Aston Villa and Norwich City boss Paul Lambert is set to be named new manager of Blackburn Rovers.
The Mail on Sunday says Lambert will be announced as Blackburn Rovers' new manager by the start of the week.
The 46-year-old agreed a three-and-a-half year contract and financial package last week, days after Rovers sacked Gary Bowyer.
Queens Park Rangers and Fulham had also shown an interest in Lambert but he was convinced early on that he would be given greater control at Ewood Park.
Rovers hope to have their Football League-imposed transfer ban lifted soon to give Lambert a chance to strengthen his squad in the January window.
