Steve Zakuani is planning to put all his energies on achieving success with Seattle Sounders in 2013.
The 24-year old winger has vowed to put aside hobbies such as Twitter and music to get himself back playing at the standard he was prior to his serious leg injury.
Zakuani has missed a huge portion of the past two seasons because of the broken leg but he is now fully focused on getting back to top form with the Sounders.
"I have to focus," Zakuani told reporters.
"Those things are addictive, I don't know why. Ask Eddie Johnson.
"I don't want to have any distractions. That's something I made to myself to just give my all to the team. I think it's going to help me in the long run."
Zakuani enjoyed an impressive outing in the Western Conference finals against eventual champions LA Galaxy last year and he admits that has given him plenty of confidence going into the 2013 campaign.
"That gave me a lot of confidence," Zakuani added. "I got back to feeling how I did before. Obviously, you get away and work hard. Last year I came into camp and I couldn't do any of this. Now it's fine."
