Following his release from English League One side Carlisle United, Frank Simek is trialling with DC United according to reports.
The 28-year old American defender is a free agent after his contract with the Cumbrians expired and he is now available to play MLS for the first time in his career.
DC are now running the rule over St Louis-born Simek who made over 120 appearances for Carlisle in both the league and cups during his time at Brunton Park which came after his spell with Sheffield Wednesday where he also played about 120 times in the Championship.
Prior to that, Simek had loan spells with QPR and Bournemouth whilst he was on Arsenal's senior list between 2003 and 2005.
