Former Arsenal striker Nicolas Anelka won't hear criticism of manager Arsene Wenger.

Wenger introduced Anelka to first team football at the Gunners and the Frenchman says English football should value the Gunners manager.

He told Journal du Dimanche: "There are people I can not criticize, Arsene is one of them.

"First or last, with or without title, he has contributed enormously to Arsenal, English football and football in general. Some have little memory. The human being and society are thus made.

"When all is well, you have only friends. When things are not so good, you look for them. Many will regret the day he leaves."
