Ex-Arsenal striker Afobe: I didn't expect to score over 30 goals

Benik Afobe admits he did not imagine he would score more than 30 goals when he joined MK Dons on loan last summer.

The 22-year old striker was loaned by Arsenal to the League One side and starred in the first half of the season, netting 19 goals in 30 appearances.

Afobe was then sold to Championship club Wolves for £2million in January and has scored a further 13 making him the highest scorer in English football this season.

Of his wonderful season, Afobe told Sky Sports News HQ: "I've always believed in my own ability and I've always scored goals but even I didn't expect to get 32 in a season it's been fantastic.

"I don't really know why I have but I did work on my finishing and timing this year and a lot of it is down to muscle memory."
