Former Arsenal star Martin Keown has heaped praise on Everton's Tim Cahill, labelling him as one of the hardest forwards to stop in England. The 31-year old Australian international scored his ninth goal of the 2010/11 English Premier League campaign in the Toffees' 2-1 win over Manchester City on Monday night and his performances in recent times have received rave reviews from Keown.

'He's not the tallest of strikers at only 5ft 10in but he's immensely strong in the air. One of the things he does very well to make up for his lack of height is that he leaps very early. He's an explosive jumper who can get from the ground up to the ball very quickly,' Keown wrote in his column for the Daily Mail.

'Everton's first goal on Monday night came because Vincent Kompany flew out of position. Kolo Toure should have slotted across much quicker and before he got in position up popped Cahill to slot the ball.

'Whenever defenders are daydreaming for a second he is going to exploit that. As a defender you would run out against Everton with one thought: make sure Tim Cahill doesn't grab the headlines.'
