Former Arsenal, Manchester City and Blackburn Rovers striker Paul Dickov has landed the manager's role at League One club Oldham Athletic.

The 37-year old was playing up until the end of this season with promotion-winners Leeds United but will now try his hand in the coaching caper.

Although he has no experience, Oldham were impressed with his interview and installed him ahead of former Latics player and boss Andy Ritchie.
