Patrick Vieira believes all the people on Manchester City striker Mario Balotelli's case need to back off.
The soon-to-be 21-year old is constantly criticised by the press for his general behavior as well as his on-field antics, which have even attracted scorn from his teammates and coaches, but Vieira says he is still learning and should be given some slack.
"People forget how young Mario really is," said the retired midfielder.
"He is a really young boy. He will make mistakes. I made a few in my career.
"Hopefully this year he will learn from them.
"Mario is a really talented footballer and I hope he can show everybody how good he is."
