Stuart Taylor is set to sign a one-year deal with Reading according to Sky Sports.
The 31-year old goalkeeper is available as a free agent after leaving Manchester City at the end of last season and is expected to sign a contract with the Royals following his training stint this pre-season.
Taylor, who has also played for Arsenal, Crystal Palace, Aston Villa and Cardiff City, will be bought in by Brian McDermott to provide competition for number one Adam Federici and back-ups Alex McCarthy and Mikkel Andersen.
